Eastertide in the Gardens
Saturday, April 19
10am to 2pm
Established in 1951, The Elizabethan Gardens were created to honor the first English colonists who settled in the New World at nearby Roanoke Island in 1585. The gardens pay homage to the period of Queen Elizabeth I, hence the name "Elizabethan Gardens."
Step into the Gardens and immerse yourself in the beauty of spring! Visit the Elizabethan Gardens for a delightful family event where the vibrant colors of the season provide the perfect backdrop. Children and families can embark on an egg-citing adventure by following a map of the Gardens' paths, stopping at designated "egg stations" to gather treats. Meanwhile, the Great Lawn will be abuzz with contests, games, and vendors, ensuring a day filled with laughter and joy.
All guests, whether members or not-yet-members, are encouraged to secure their tickets online in advance, as this popular event tends to sell out quickly. Don't miss out on this memorable celebration of springtime in the Gardens!
