Happily Returning
Thank you Outer Banks Blue and Northern Star owners for hosting our family vacation this fall. We really enjoyed the proximity of the home to the nature trail, lighthouse, playgrounds, pool, pickleball courts and shops, which are all unique to Corolla Light. Our family spent a lot of time on the brand new decks and cooking in the excellent kitchen. We hope the homeowners place into consideration adding a second full size refrigerator somewhere in the house, and enclosing the master bathrooms so young families can safely use the extra large bedrooms. Keep moving forward with the wonderful updates! They are especially needed in the front bedrooms by the hot tub. During a particularly humid week those two bedrooms became unbearably musty. We were grateful you keep screens in the windows so we could air them out. Overall Northern Star has a great layout for a large family to enjoy and stunning views. Normally our family travels down to the OBX every other year and tries out new homes each time. But we were so happy with our time at Northern Star that we rebooked it for next year. Can’t wait!

Corolla Heaven
As repeat renters of Northern Star, this house just gets better. Updates by the owners, amenities, weather, and memories. We have been coming to Corolla Light for years and this is by far the best location and house. Close to the community pool, steps to the ocean and shops, and a picturesque view. We will keep coming back.

Absolutely beautiful
We stayed may 2023 .the home and setting where beautiful. The view just perfect our family enjoyed our stay so much that we booked 2024 on day 3 of our vacation this year . Loved being nestled in corolla light the amenities and local shops up front ! If I could give 1 suggestion a tv in the bunk bed room 2nd floor and top single beds since in our experience every year is kids typically stay in those rooms so it would be awesome to return next year to find that . Other than that the house is amazingly beautiful we had a amazing time and like I said we almost instantly rebooked lol usually we switch up houses every year .

King of the Hill
We pulled into the private driveway lined with mature landscaping and plenty of off street parking. I had to pinch myself when I saw this majestic mansion with easy access to the wonderful beach and community center and playground. Inside I felt like “King of the Hill” as this home sits on the highest point of Corolla with breathtaking views of the sunrise, sunset, blue sky and awesome Atlantic Ocean. We enjoyed family style dinners at the large round gathering table in the open concept great room. Meal prep was easy in the huge modern kitchen. Fun included movie night in the xtra large family room, shooting pool in the game room, relaxing in the hot tub admiring the bright night stars. Peaceful nights sleep in the private master bedrooms. Also enjoyed early morning bike riding in the beautiful town of Corolla. Lifetime memories! Northern Star the brightest star!

Paradise
Where do I begin? This house was so wonderful. You don’t need to bring anything. Just drop your bags and head to the beach which is just a stones throw away. If you’d rather swim that option is also only minutes walk. The house is comfmfy and clean but large enough to accommodate multiple families. We had large dinners every night and were able to cook together and enjoyed game nights w all the kiddos w plenty of room. This home has breath taking beach views from just about everywhere in the house. Can’t forget the hot tub which also has very scenic views. I can go on and on but just wanted to share some of the things that were special to us.

Loved it
Northern Star is an amazing beachfront home! It is bright, spacious, and airy; even with our group of 13, we had plenty of comfortable space. The first thing I noticed upon entering the home was the sizeable windows showcasing spectacular ocean views! We even observed frolicking dolphins during breakfast. Whether sitting on the back deck drinking coffee or having an evening cocktail, tranquility was at its finest. My husband and I were fortunate enough to have the master bedroom, complete with a soaking tub, ocean views, and direct access to a deck with a hot tub. The beach was just steps away. In addition, we were close to many amenities, including the community pool and basketball courts that our teenagers frequented during the trip. Other highlights, besides the home itself, included short walks to see the beautiful sunset over the sound (great photo ops by the way) and seeing the wild horses on the Corolla 4x4 beach. I cannot recommend the Northern Star enough for an unforgettable vacation in OBX!

Exceeded our expectations
This beach home exceeded our expectations. The house was bright, open, and spacious. The ocean view from the dining/family room was absolutely breathtaking. It is in a great location with an easy walk down to the beach and close proximity to the outdoor Corolla Light pool. The home came equipped with everything we needed to cook for our large family. The large round kitchen table was great, we all gathered there for meals and games. Within walking distance to watch amazing sunsets on the soundside and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. Wonderful memories made!
