Originally from New York, Gary gained experience in various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, pipe fitting, and electrical work. He completed a 4-year apprenticeship and earned a New York State Journeyman’s license in commercial HVAC. During this time, he also served in the Mastic Beach Fire Department, rising to the rank of First Assistant Chief.

Moving to North Carolina in 2005, Gary assumed leadership roles in other industries before joining Outer Banks Blue. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and kayaking, often with his wife and children. He is also an avid R/C pilot and a member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club, a group of former and active first responders dedicated to community charity work in eastern North Carolina.
