I’d like to keep this house a secret as I really love it, it’s perfect for our family & the location is so convenient. We love the view and easy access to the beach. My dog and I loved walking on the beach in the morning as long as she doesn’t get wet. The house is beautifully furnished and the sunroom was perfect for my daughter to work remotely. This is our 2nd year at Nonnie & T’s & we’ve already booked for 2025.

We spent a lovely week here in early September. Great time to be at OBX. The house was just as advertised. The lower level was perfect for our kids and grandkids and the separate apartment was great for the granddogs. The weather was lovely and we were so close to the ocean we went to sleep each night to the sound of the waves.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Nonnie and Ts. The personal touches from the owners were beyond anything I've seen in my 30 years of renting at OBX. Loved the location of the home and the fact that neighbor's pools weren't right on top of ours. We really enjoyed all of the different spaces in the home as well. Little thoughtful touches like the beach towels, corn hole and welcome notes were greatly appreciated. House was very well equipped with everything we needed. The luggage lift was tremendous not only for luggage but groceries as well. Loved the place!

This is our second year staying at Nonnie andT’s and we will be back next year. We absolutely love this home. Not only is it a beautiful home, it is so well furnished and maintained. The location is perfect for shopping in Duck or heading out for dinner. Having the private walk to the beach is always a plus. It is the perfect home, not too big but big enough for many return trips.

It was a wonderful two weeks and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable, is in excellent condition and has magnificent, endless ocean views. The main living space is large and airy with plenty of plush chairs and sofas for reading, napping, playing games, doing puzzles and watching TV, and the outdoor space includes a large dune deck where we enjoyed cocktails every evening. A thoughtfully equipped kitchen made cooking and baking a pleasure, though there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Internet connections are easy and strong throughout—two of our guests easily worked remotely while visiting us. The house is on the main road, so there’s not a neighborhood for walking, but there’s a nice long driveway providing privacy, a buffer from traffic and a place to walk the dogs. We heartily recommend Nonnie and T’s and are looking forward to future visits!

Such a great house, and you can tell that the owners have made some visible improvements such as the decking, the outdoor furniture, and a beautiful pool and hot tub. They even thought of little things like having a dispenser outside that stored bags for cleaning up after a pet. The location to grocery stores, as well as other local shopping was great, and we would definitely stay here again. I missed not having a hammock or outdoor hammock chair (I just love laying on a hammock while on vacation!!!), so that's one suggestion I have. Beautiful place!!!!

Nestled right on the shoreline, the panoramic views of the ocean from the expansive balcony were nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to the gentle sound of waves crashing and the sight of the sun rising over the horizon was a daily treat. The interior of the house is tastefully decorated, blending modern amenities with rustic beach-themed decor. Every room is spacious, airy, and filled with natural light, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The open-concept kitchen was a dream, equipped with everything needed to whip up a great meal. One of the standout features of this beach house is the pristine pool. Perfectly maintained, it provided a refreshing escape from the sun and a great spot for afternoon lounging. What truly sets this beach house apart is its prime location. We enjoyed daily morning walks and relaxed evenings under the starry sky. Additionally, the proximity to the nearby town and grocery store was a major plus, making our stay convenient and allowing us to easily stock up on essentials and explore local eateries. This was our first time renting a house in Southern Shores and Nonnie and T's house was just perfect house for our family vacation. The view's from this house were breathtaking, the recently large renovated deck was the perfect place to spend our evenings watching the sunset. The new pool addition was a surprised to us and we enjoyed our afternoons in it along with the jacuzzi. The entire house was clean and well decorated giving such a nice comfortable atmosphere. The Kitchen has all stocked with everything that you can think of and the wine refrigerator is a great amenity. The sun room was probably the family's favorite game room even our dogs loved spending time there. The dogs were comfortable and felt at home. Location is excellent as it is close to all the shops and the private beach access is super. Looking forward to staying here again.

Our stay at this lovely beach house was thoroughly enjoyable. The house was clean and a "starter pack" of TP, paper towels, and diswashing detergent was available for arriving families -- super helpful. The views are amazing and I spent several nights on the deck as the sun went down. After arriving, we found a few small hornets nests around the decks, and our toilet stopped working, but Outer Banks Blue sent someone out, and within 48 hours, our problems were gone. The keyless entry required some finesse, but a call to the realty company (& a hand from my husband) helped. :-) We'll remember this wonderful vacation for a long time.

If you want a nice relaxing, beach get away, then you should choose Nonnie & T's beautiful ocean front home with private beach access. It is a beautiful, spacious home with all the amenities. The house was very comfortable and bright. The beds came completely made up which was extra special. We loved our stay here and hope for a return visit. I highly recommend Nonnie & T's. You won't regret!

This house is beautiful, very tastefully decorated and well maintained. Plenty of family and dining space with the most well stocked kitchen I've seen. We arrived to a spotlessly clean and welcoming atmosphere. The location on the beach was great and we loved it along with our two dogs who enjoyed playing in the waves. The few issues we encountered were quickly handled by Outer Banks Blue and we will most definitely return to Nonnie and T's in the future!

My sisters and I spent 5 wonderful days celebrating our mother's 85th birthday! The house was perfect! The location was everything, quiet neighbors and a short drive to multiple sightseeing locations in OBX. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and clean(as was everything). The kitchen, living room and dining room were outstanding with updated appliances. And the DECKS and PORCHES! The views were exquisite! The back deck is spacious and equipped with great seating. Then there is a porch in the front of the house and on the side of the house with lovely views and comfortable seating as well. The hosts were extremely communicative and welcoming, they even left a small token to celebrate my mother's 85th birthday. We will be back!!!

The house was beautiful! I rented the property for my parents and some aunts/uncles for their first OBX vacation and they loved the house and the location. There was a small issue with the dishwasher that the owner addressed efficiently. Views were amazing!

My husband, dog and I just spent 9 days at Nonnie and T's and had a very relaxing, restful time there. I would first like to comment that Outer Banks Blue that handles the rental are excellent. When we walked in the door we were impressed by many aspects of this house one being the cleanliness. There was also a very well designed "grocery shopping bag" with gifts from the agency including playing cards, note pad and pen, a paper bag to leave any unused food to be donated, a roll of paper towels and some dish washer detergent. They also provided the linens, plenty of towels and wash cloths, dish towels and hot pads, small soaps and towelettes. All were of very good quality. They provided assistance in many ways for us and the staff we spoke with were friendly and efficient. When we rented Nonnie and T's, it had been sold and we were told that new owners would be making changes. We watched for this on the website up until about a week before our trip. We were amazed when we arrived and saw what had been done. We also went back to the website to compare the difference and found that the website had been updated, so we couldn't compare. The decor was of good taste. The clutter that had been there prior was gone and a softer look was all through the house. There was a new sofa and maybe master bed and mattress. Almost all of the wicker furniture had been repainted and had new cushions or seating. There were new light fixtures and possibly ceiling fans. The TV in the living area was large and new, mounted on the wall about the fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware for 12, wine glasses, beer mugs, as well as various sized glasses. I found all the Rubbermaid storage containers to be helpful, too. A new Mr. Coffee, Keurig coffee maker and toaster were on the counter. We had no problem finding just the right pot or pan to use. For convenience there is a pull out pantry to the right of the new refrigerator. I don't know if there was a wine refrigerator before, but the one there appears new and kept our white wine at the perfect temperature. There were new fly swatters on top of the refrigerator in case a six legged visitor should get in. Downstairs is a new hot tub, maybe a 4 person tub. The walk to the beach is short and easy. Due to the beach being lower than the house, there is privacy when you sit on the deck. The garage is a welcome aspect, keeping your vehicle clean during your stay. The elevator was not what we expected though. It is outside next to the front porch. There is a remote for it, but the elevator does not come the ground. Heavy items such as a cooler would be difficult to lift to the needed height to get it on the elevator to raise it to the living area. It is appropriate for shopping items or smaller containers. We had a very relaxing vacation. Southern Shores is the perfect area of the OBX if you would like a more residential, quiet neighborhood. The Food Lion, seafood store and an ABC store are just a few minutes away. You cannot find another place that you would enjoy more than Nonnie and T's.

Thanks for your comments regarding Nonnie and T's.   Just to be clear for future guests there is no elevator at this property.  It is called a "Stair tamer" and is meant to help you get groceries from the ground level up to the top level.   The device lowers to approximately 2 feet from the ground, and at the top it stops just above the railing of the west side decks.  We apologize for any confusion on this.

We give the location, convenience and beach views five stars! We had an absolutely relaxing week with the whole family enjoying cooking, eating and playing games together. My only issue was my expectations for the 'separate apartment,' as I ended up feeling the sofa bed was not appropriate for my elderly mother so doubled up my grown children in another bedroom and had her in the main house with us. I'd love to see a better bed in the apartment and more clear language in the house description, especially as I see we're not the only ones to note this. Otherwise loved how comfortable and well-equipped the house is! Thank you!

We enjoyed a relaxing fall week at Nonnie and T’s! Since the weather was cool we were glad to have the beautiful ocean views. We especially enjoyed having our two little dogs with us. The house has recently changed owners and needs a little updating but the staff was quick to answer our questions and fix the minor issues. We would definitely consider returning with family during the summer but suggest a king bed in the studio apartment (instead of a sofa bed) and new blinds in the master bedroom. Very attentive owners!

Thank you for your comments.  Since your stay this property has been completely renovated and updated as you can see by the pictures.   You stayed at the property just a few months before all beds and furnishings were changed out, hardwood floors were put in place throughout, new decking is in place, a swimming pool is now at the property and the kitchen has been redone. Also no more sofa beds.   We hope you come back to Nonnie and T's soon to see the transformation.
