"Derrycon" is an oceanfront vacation home made for family memories! Unbelievable ocean views await you in this comfy home just made for you and the kids to relax, beach it and hang together to make memories that will last a lifetime! 

House has been outfitted for mobility challenged needs with a ramp from the mid-level all the way to the dunetop deck, mid-level King Master has a beautiful bath with room for most wheelchairs to maneuver and a roll-under sink for easier access along with the shower with free standing seat. Elevator access on ground level in Billiards Room by carport, to mid-level with gathering areas, Deck, Ramp, and King Master Bedroom. Ocean views are what this home is all about...from the hot tub to every family meal at the family-style dining table! Bring the kids...this house is perfectly located to keep everyone active and satisfied. Top-level kids bunk room has air hockey, and there is a ground-level rec room that has a full size pool table and TV. 

The multi-use bike path will take everyone to the pier for fishing, to restaurants, local grocery, or more! Rather hop in the car? You are just a few minutes drive from all kinds of family attractions! Reserve a deep sea fishing trip, or take the half day inshore charters for a sure catch! How about some fun shopping? Outlet malls and local shops are conveniently located close by. Historic Roanoke Island offers history, museums, bookstores, The Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama and other theater events and the North Carolina Aquarium. Restaurants ranging from the mom n' pop ice cream shop to 5 star dining can all be found close by. Kids activities abound at the south end of Nags Head, only 3 miles away.

Private Pools are open from May 3, 2024 until October 13, 2024 and May 2, 2025 until October 12, 2025. Pool heat is not an option for this property. Pets are not allowed in pools under any circumstances. An additional fee will be charged to leaseholder for the chemical balance, cleaning or damage that would cause the replacement of a vinyl pool liner. Hot tubs are available year-round. Fireplace seen in photos is non-functioning and not available for use.


All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a small fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Fantastic location
We had a family of 8 in this home and there was ample space and a phenomenal view of the ocean from the top deck. We rented the home because of it's location and accessibility for a wheelchair bound family member. The elevator was a great amenity. I would have given 5 stars except for two things. The "dune top deck" was non-existent as it was completely covered by sand with no seating. Also, our wheelchair bound family member had difficulty accessing the beach. There had been plywood nailed to the ramp that leads to the beach which made parts of the ramp too narrow for the beach wheel chair. The negatives definitely would not hamper us from renting again but unfortunately the house was booked up even before we arrived so there was no option for us to reserve for next year.

Fantastic location!
My family of 10 stayed here with ample space to spread out and be comfortable. The appeal was the mostly handicapped accessible features. The direct access to the beach with no steps was definitely a bonus. The pool access was not easily accessible and required a few steps if going by way of the elevator or many steps of using the upstairs access. Although a pool table is listed, it is in a room that is nothing more than a utility room that is hot and damp smelling. The furnishings were fine and the beds mostly comfortable. The sheets were rough and the king bed had two flat sheets that barely fit. The "cons" are not significant enough to stop me from returning. I would love to return to this house but the week I want for 2023 is already reserved. And that's a big disappointment.
