Love this house!
Our family has been staying in this house for several summers now, and we simply love it here! It is well-kept, and it has everything we need for a comfortable weeklong stay. The neighborhood is quiet, and we enjoy that we can just have time there as a family. It is an also quick bike ride or car ride to the cute town of Duck. The house is convenient because it sits an almost equal distance from an entrance to the sound, and the entrance to the beach. It is still walkable enough to run home for a quick bite to eat or to get out of the sun for a bit. Our only complaint is the loss of the swing on the front deck. We spent quite a bit of time lounging there, so we hope a new one returns in its place!

Many positive points

We stayed in this home for our 5th trip to the OBX. We have booked with OBB every time. The house itself is perfect. We had ample space. Easy beach access. They have lots of books to share for reading. The beds are very comfortable. The linens provided could not be beat. I love the decor and the personal touches throughout the home. We did however have some issues with the kitchen. If you are like our family and prefer to buy groceries and stay home and cook, this is not the home for you. We could not find a single baking sheet, cake pan or casserole pan. You can not use the dishwasher to wash pots and pans, it is an older dish washer in need of repair. We survive at home without a dishwasher but I always enjoy vacation and the ability to not handwash dishes. The refrigerator somehow collected large amounts of water in it. To further explain- the top of everything was covered in water. There was water standing in the bottom of it. Not things that would keep us from booking again, we would just pack some of our own kitchen items and be more prepared. Thanks!

Thank you for letting us know about the cookware issues as well as the refrigerator and dishwasher.   It is not our intent to have you deal with these issues, and we've dispatched a repair person to the house to take care of the dishwasher and fridge.  Please let us know next time during your stay when something is not up to par.  We are happy to get it resolved.    We are getting some baking sheets and cookware for future guests.
