Sea Pines
Sea Pines (formerly known as Ocean Beach Campground) is a blissfully relaxing community hidden in the heart of the village of Duck. Rules and Regulations
- The community Pool & Tennis courts are located on a gravel driveway, all the way at the end. Take your first left at the top of the hill when you first enter the community. They are for Owner & Guest use only. Because there are no lifeguards on duty, swimming is always at your own risk. Glass bottles and pets are not allowed in the pool area. Please be sure to follow all posted rules.
- The use of golf carts is permitted when operated by a driver with a valid driver’s license.
- Enjoy your time at the beach, but remember that rip tides & undercurrents can be extremely dangerous beneath the ocean surface, even when the water appears calm. Please observe warning flags at the beach. No swimming is allowed when the red warning flags are flying.
- Per Town of Duck ordinance, dogs may play unleashed on the Town’s beaches year-round, although they should be under the watchful eye and control of a guardian. As a courtesy, remember to clean up after your pet and do not bury pet waste in the sand or throw it in the ocean.
- While on the beach, please do not walk on or disturb the sand dunes, as they help to preserve our delicate ecosystem.
- Please be sure to remove all items from the beach, including tents, umbrellas, and chairs each night and help keep our beaches clean by picking up and disposing of your trash properly.
- Trash collection is on Mondays & Fridays (twice per week), May 1st through September 30th, and just on Mondays, October 1st through April 30th (once per week). All items should be placed completely in the cans (lids closed) and rolled out to the road for collection. Never put items next to cans, it will not be picked up. Please note that the brown and black cans are for trash and the blue cans are for recycling. A contractor will roll back the trash and recycling cans for you after the trash has been collected.
- All personal property of the owners such as yard furniture, firewood, bicycles, beach furniture, toys, trashcans, etc., shall be stored within their garages or porches.
- Parking is permitted only upon the paved parking area of each home and in designated parking areas at the Eastern end of Scarborough Lane and at the pool. Per Town of Duck ordinance and Sea Pines Rules, parking along the street and circles is not permitted, as not to hinder access by emergency vehicles. Parking permits must ALWAYS be displayed in autos and on golf carts parked at the designated beach access parking area and at the pool and tennis court. Vehicles parked in violation of Town of Duck ordinances and Sea Pines Rules & Regulations will be subject to towing at the vehicle owner’s expense. Please use the parking area at the pool & tennis court for overflow parking, overnight parking is not permitted at the Beach Access parking area.

- The storage of campers, trailers, boats or other recreational vehicles shall be in such a manner as to not constitute a visual nuisance.
- Campers, travel trailers, trucks, self-propelled mobile homes, and other vehicles of that nature, shall not be lived in while parked on a lot and not be parked in the community parking areas.
- As per the bylaws, no obnoxious or offensive activity is permitted on the property, nor should anything be done which may be or become a nuisance or annoyance to residents within the property.
- Per ordinances in the Town of Duck and in consideration of others in the community, creating or permitting any unreasonably loud noise, including outdoor music, televisions, musical instruments, or any other items that would disturb others is prohibited at all times.
- Per ordinances in the Town of Duck, it is unlawful to use any type of firecracker, torpedo, skyrockets, sparkler, or similar item anywhere in the town.
