Nags Head is one of the larger Outer Banks towns and has the greatest variety of communities. The northern portion of the town is more developed, with residential neighborhoods and many shopping and dining options. Central Nags Head is home to the popular Jockeys Ridge sand dune and a mixture of residential communities and vacation rentals. South Nags Head is a popular generational travel destination with less crowded beaches.
