Happy 4th Of July!

The Duck Parade to Fireworks at the Beach!

The 4th of July is off and running again on the Outer Banks with a tremendous number of visitors on the beach, and a feeling of patriotism all around.

This morning began with the annual Duck Parade and Outer Banks Blue was a proud participant this year.

The OBX Blue Crew on Parade!

The Outer Banks Blue crew included President Tim Cafferty, Marketing Director Michelle Elmore, Rental Manager Bill Koebernick, Pool and Spa Manager Pat Sullivan, Associate Sales Broker Ken Baittinger (and his dog "Jacky"), as well as Pennylayne Sullivan, Kristen Salitore and all of our kids were there to hand out Frisbees, tiny bouncy beach balls, candy, sand pails, and other goodies.  See more pictures of the parade here on our Facebook page.   There were at least 2 thousand people on the parade route and it was a very festive day.

Today folks have moved to the beach.   The tanning index is at a 10 and the water is absolutely beautiful!  We hope everyone has sunscreen on so they don't get burned.

Tonight comes the big finale with Fireworks in three different locations around the Outer Banks.

The Whalehead Club in Corolla has their 19th annual Independence day celebration starting at 5 PM today with the fireworks spectacular scheduled for dusk.

Nags Head has a fireworks display scheduled tonight for 9:30 PM.  The Town's display is to be conducted by the Zambelli Brothers Fireworks company and is usually one of the best around.

Manteo has their 4th of July celebration beginning this afternoon at 3 PM with a variety of musical performances and fun events (Pie Eating Contests, Wacky Hat Contest) and the fireworks will begin after dark.

We hope everyone has a happy and safe July 4th Celebration.

Finally, Happy Birthday 10th Birthday Firecracker Babies Laine and Sinclaire.  Daddy Loves you very much!

All the best from the beach!
